Fees and Rebates.
Payment of fees are due at the time of the appointment.
We have chosen to keep our fees as low as possible and well under the Australian Psychological Society’s recommended fee of $311.
Please contact us to obtain fee information.
Medicare
Sarah is registered to provide services under Medicare. A referral is not required to access services at Pacific Clinical Psychology, however, you will need a referral if you wish to claim a rebate from Medicare.
Your GP will be able to assess if you are eligible (we recommend booking a longer appointment with your GP to allow them time to complete this for you) to claim Medicare Rebates under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP).
Eligible clients with a MHTP or a referral from a Psychiatrist will be eligible to claim Medicare rebates for up to:
- $141.85 rebate per session with a Clinical Psychologist
- 10 individual sessions claimable per calendar year
Full payment is due at the time of the appointment, and if you are entitled to receive a Medicare rebate this will be processed by the practice once fees are paid. Medicare will deposit the rebate into your nominated bank account.
Please note, we are not a bulk billing practice.
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance you may be eligible to claim rebates for psychological sessions. The level of cover and any applicable waiting periods vary between providers and depends on your extras cover policy.
To find out if you are eligible and/or how much funding you are entitled to claim for psychological sessions, please contact your private health insurance. We are able to process your rebates at the end of your appointment and you only pay the gap fee. Alternatively, you can claim any rebates directly with your provider after the session.
Third Party Funders
We are pleased to accept DVA, Workcover QLD, SIRA (NSW Workers Compensation) and NDIS (Self and plan managed) referrals.
Third Party funders will be billed directly, leaving no out of pocket costs for clients.
